Steven Jackson

Steven Jackson is a seasoned builder, developer, and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience leading construction and real estate projects across Canada. As President of JCJ group of companies, he oversees all aspects of the company’s growth and operations, including finance and debt, project planning, site development, strategic partnerships, and long-term investment strategy. His leadership is shaped by years spent working directly in the trades, managing teams, and building companies from the ground up.

Steven’s career began as a carpenter on construction sites located all over Canada where he developed a deep understanding of building practices and components, craftsmanship, the importance of strong teams and an appreciation of what it takes to deliver high quality projects. 

Known for his incredible execution, determination, practical problem-solving and strong leadership, Steven combines hands-on construction experience with executive-level professional training. He has completed advanced programs through Wharton Executive Education, Harvard Business School Executive Education, strategic coach's free zone frontier program and the Wallace McCain Institute’s Entrepreneurial Leaders Program at the University of New Brunswick.

Steven holds a C.E.T certificate for constriction management as well as a red seal carpentry certificate and is also a licensed realtor.

Doug Waugh, P.Eng.

Doug Waugh is a Civil Engineer and seasoned project manager with over a decade of experience leading complex infrastructure, construction, and development projects across Atlantic Canada. As Construction & Development Engineer at JCJ Properties & Development, Doug applies his technical expertise, onsite leadership, and long-standing industry experience to support the planning, design, and execution of JCJ’s residential and commercial projects.

Before joining JCJ, Doug spent more than 10 years with the Municipal Group of Companies, advancing from Project Engineer to Project Manager and overseeing major civil, municipal, and infrastructure works. He later managed construction projects with Build Nova Scotia, where he led multidisciplinary teams, coordinated consultants and contractors, and delivered high-profile public sector projects in Halifax and beyond.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of New Brunswick and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
